It was after one chemotherapy session that I decided to visit CANSA Vaal Triangle Care Centre. I was so sick and pale. I felt too ugly to face the world. I needed some motivation, a make-over, or I could just stay at home and hide from the world.

I am passionate about providing support and care for others. I have been able to do this through CANSA Relay For Life Athlone and in my workplace where I am also able to lobby support and resources for the cancer cause.

How do you explain to a child that they have cancer, when it was so difficult for his family to come to terms with it? That he would spend the year in and out of hospital?

Wynand wants to inspire upcoming sports stars, by showing them that whatever comes your way, you should never give up your dream to be what you always want to be.

Leonie started developing a passion to help other cancer Survivors to cope with their diagnoses and consequent side effects, and she learnt to laugh again.

When Ardath promises to do something, you know that there are no worries. She will deliver what was promised.
