Four guys, seven days, one car

Four University of Johannesburg students started their campaign to live in a car for seven days on Tuesday. Car Jam is the campus’ day residence’s gimmick to raise funds for CANSA.

“Vorendag Dayhouse is where we spend most of our time as day students,” said one of the car jammer Brian Bain. Main, Loren Lilje, Rhet Evans and Murry Gush will take turns coming out of the car to raise funds and interact with the shopping public. Bain said five-minute bathroom breaks would be taken as and when needed.

Restaurants in the mall would sponsor meals for the group.

Bain said they wanted to better previous efforts and were aiming to raise R20000 to R25000.
