Team Registration and Team Information

Congratulations! If you are reading this, you are hopefully considering entering a team /teams for CANSA Relay For Life Corporate event -­ one of the most exciting events globally.

We Need You and Your Company – Register for CANSA Relay For Life Corporate 2016

CANSA is proud to be one of many international countries participating in this wonderful international initiative to fight cancer. Relay For Life is a unique event offering all the opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. It represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those facing cancer will be supported and that one day cancer will be overcome.

At the CANSA Relay For Life Corporate event, the focus is on small, medium and large companies & businesses to enter as many teams as they can. Team members will take turns to walk or run around a track for 12 hours. Celebrate LIFE with the cancer survivors in your company/business and show your support to help fight back against cancer. Participants enjoy camping-­out, entertainment, good food, games and corporate camaraderie. People who join, all share a common purpose – their desire to fight cancer and to support CANSA in its work.

Registration Fee:

  • Early Bird (until 7 July 2016) – R1 500.00
  • 8 July – 30 July 2016 – R1 800.00
  • 1 August – 1 October 2016 – R2 000.00
  • Commitment Fee (of full registration fee) to secure stand in preferred area – R500.00

Team Registration Details:

  • A team consists of 10-15 members
  • Team members to be added to indemnity form (to be supplied after registration)
  • A stand of 5m x 5m will be allocated on a ‘first come first serve’ basis to each team
  • Only gazebos and small camping tents may be erected on the stands.
  • Teams from one company will be allocated adjoining stands.
  • Requests from teams from different companies to be allocated adjoining stands, will be accommodated as far as possible.
  • The committee reserves the right to relocate teams to fill up preferred areas.

Prizes will be awarded for:

  • Team Golden Goose: The team that raises the most funds before and/or at the Relay.
  • Team Fun-a-galore: The team with the best spirit and participation and with the most team members by closing on 20 September 2015 at 06:00.
  • Team D-Zign: The team with the best stand and costume
  • Team Astronomical (Senior): The best team overall, with consideration of all three categories.
  • Team Astronomical (Junior): The best scholar / student team.

Other prizes:

  • Spot prizes for the best team members dressed according to the themes (to be supplied at the Team Captains Meeting).

Team Fundraising:

Teams are encouraged to do fundraising before and at the CANSA Relay For Life Corporate. It all goes to a worthy cause!

Teams are also encouraged to utilise to raise funds online.

All funds raised by 03:00 on 20 September 2015 will be considered the team prizes.
